New Stitching Start & Neighborhood RR Update

New from Market by Primitive Traditions....Sarah Elliot's Sewing Chest....: This may be a "Mom's request for Christmas" for me....unless one of you wants to share the $180 cost and split the chest with me!!! :}

These two pics above are my golden house as it's coming along on Karen's (Dragonfly Dreams) Neighborhood RR piece. I've also tried to give you and her a glimpse of her whole Neighborhood which is so pretty! After my block, we have only one more until our Neighborhoods all come home to us after the year of stitching. It's going to be bittersweet...an ending and a happy surprise at the same time. :]
Here's just a fun little needlecase I started this Monday. I was rooting through my fabrics looking for something to stitch Halloween things on, and found this kit. I don't care to stitch on aida anymore, so found a 32 ct. unidentifiable color-named linen and used that. Really enjoyed it and I expect I'll finish it in another day or so.

Were you all just delighted with the new charts from Market!!?? I loved so many though I have my favorites. I'm just going to share a couple which I've ordered already from Stitching Bits and Bobs. You know I had to have this one for my little grands!!! Isn't it beautiful?

I'm devoted to Quaker Samplers. This one is so soft and sweet.

This biscornu is gorgeous from Sweetheart Tree. I love beaded berries, don't you? I did order the new Indigo Rose biscorn, too, which I think is fabulous! And, I've never liked Boards particularly (except that cemetery one from Plum Street! :o), but I just think this one is fantastic. I also couldn't resist ordering "Creepy Crawly" by Blue Ribbon (I think it is)...that little casket needle tools set.
I couldn't believe Mosey n' Me's new Samplers, could you? Check out Shakespeare's Peddler where I saw them...Theresa always has a good eye for things.

Too many great things to picture here. I loved the new CHS pieces, especially The Swan....have to have those. And, the Just Nans are great! And, Chessie and Me houses are to die for, too. I thought this was a good Market considering the state our country is in right now.....

Must go and eat the scrummy chocolate cake and Blue Bells Homemade Vanilla ice cream my DH has put together for me. I think I really like him!!

Hugs to all, and thanks so much for your comments...my faithful few friends.

BTW:I don't know why but not many visit me anymore and comment. Could it be my political views? Or, maybe I wax too long in my blog and don't show enough stitching??? Tell me why.....Here's your chance....I'm listening. I will send a surprise package to someone whose name I pull from a bag for all the comments on this..... Thanks so much. Deb

It's not you, my dear friend, it's that darn mojo that keeps tormenting me by it's absence! But it never keeps me from smiling when I read your blog!! The MacKintosh Rose is gorgeous!! BTW, I think I like your DH too...LOL!!! Chocolate cake... ice cream... mmmm...

Nope, definitely not you, Deb. I think there's a general commenting slump going on. Many people read blog updates via Blolines or Google reader and just don't comment anymore. But that doesn't mean no-one is visiting. It is true, though, that I don't leave comments when bloggers wax political: not because I agree or disagree, but because I'm in Europe and I have no idea about life in America. I don't think I have the right to complain about this, that or the other.
Anyway (wow, speaking of lengthy, this comment must be of record length!) I loved the Needlework show as well, but we must have visited different ones, because I never saw the pieces you chose as your favourites. Oh well. I think I must go back and do it again :o)))

Hi Deb,How have you been. I haven't been on the computer over the last couple of weeks. I found I was spending too long surfing. I'd just check my emails and post on my blog occasionally.
I love Karen's Neighborhood RR is looking great. I'm sure she is going to love it.
Love your Mackenzie MacKintosh Rose. I have a few of these kits stashed away somewhere to. I don't like using aida anymore either.
Hope you have been well - Sandra.

Hiya gorgeous - I've been reading when I can, but got overwhelmed with over 1600+ unread feeds after some extremely long hours at work and only just catching up and starting to comment again. But I have read every post, even though I haven't been commenting :) I've really made an effort this last week to try catching up on some blogs and actually commenting again. Your new start is pretty, and the charts are great ... will have to check out the Indigo Rose one now too! :D

I always read, just don't have much time to comment :)

My comments come and go but I think it is the time of year with back to year. People read in a hurry then rush away before commenting.

Love all your new goodies!

Hey Deb, I second Annemarie's comments. I have some 129 blogs I follow and I used bloglines to read them most mornings, quickly before work picks up. I can go several posts without a comment or two, but I know I have readers.
Though quiet, I'm still here, still reading.

I have been reading your blog for a couple of months now but have never commented. I'm new to blogging and kind of shy I guess.

I do so enjoy reading your blog. Love your book recommendations and have read a couple of your picks. I think that my political and social views probably parallel yours, but I am often hesitant to talk about them with people I don't know. Kind of like talking about politics and religion at work...can get messy. Keep speaking your mind. It is so important!

Hey, Deb! I still pop in at least once a week, but don't always leave a comment. I assume the same is true with people that look at my blog. As for me personally...I generally don't comment on anything political or religious. Whether I have the same views or not. Such personal and sometimes touchy subjects.

Even though I'm quiet I love your blog, I too just seem to have so much to do and so little time, and so many blogs to read I usually try and pop in and see you, but not always leave a comment.

Hugs my friend

You found yourself a new reader, since a few weeks. My attention was drawn by your love for poetry, books and stitching. I share the same interests. Love your blog!

I agree with some of the other comments that we do visit and read, but do not always comment. Also people have so many blogs in their Readers and Bloglines that they become a little overwhelmed trying to keep up. I know that is my situation. You miss one day reading and you are way behind and then it is hard to catch up. I try comment every 2-3 weeks on everyone just to let the blogger know that we are still reading.

I too have noticed fewer comments, but I never ever had as many as you did when I first started over a year ago.

Keep up your interesting posts. We are reading.

Hey Sweety it's not you at all... I've been MIA for a while as you know and although I continued to visit your blog and those of my other dear friends, I just haven't been commenting for a lot of reasons I won't go into here...

Suffice it to say I love your posts and your wonderful photos... We share so many of the same interests and stopping by to visit you is like coming home...

I do so love Sarah Elliot's Sewing Chest... it's a must have for me!!! And I love the one from Mosey n' Me... Oh, I agree there are so many lovely ones I want and so many I need to go back and *catch up* on... My Wish List keeps growing and growing... it's a Monster! lol

Karen's NRR is coming along so beautifully... I love your golden yellow house... it's so cheerful! I'm sure she will love it...

Oh, and that chocolate cake and ice cream sounds yummy... your DH is a treasure! :-)

Love and {{{Hugs}}} Sweety!!!

Nope, it's not you! Not enough hours in the day, or night, for me! I stop by several times a week, just don't take the time to post. Hope that helps! I always enjoy your posts and pictures!

Nothing personal at all, Deb... I enjoy your blog! I'm currently in my busy season when I travel more and do extra projects and so I tend to get behind and just read from my Google Reader without going to the actual blog to comment.
