Neighborhood RR Finish!

I wish I had a decent camera to show you this Neighborhood RR piece of Wendy's. It's coming along so beautifully. Carissa's contribution of the blue house was just perfect!
I've finished my block...the upper left-hand side. The Rose Cottage, of course! It was such fun to stitch. I created a stream and a little gated arbor to connect my yard with Wendy's. To me, the stream represents hope and the spirit of true friendship. The several textured stitches were fun to stitch and gave me a welcomed break from the straight cross stitch. Bees always represent any "Debi"...as we all know! LOL And, I decided that this time, all of my RR blocks will have pink and roses in them. So, I hope you like your little rose cottage, Wendy!

I'm off to stitch on my Marie Antoinette Sampler, now! I have alot of things pulled together and will show you my start this weekend.

My computer has been down for a week, so I'm very behind in blogging and visiting your blogs, but will catch up as I can.

I want to say a very heartfelt thank you to Donna Hensley who sent me her chart of Eliza's Pets!! I had admired it on her blog. It's just darling and I hope to add it to the stitching I want to do for my little grandson who's due the end of Oct. Thank you, Donna!! :)

And, thank all of you who keep me encouraged and going with your kind words and comments.
Have a happy stitching weekend!
Deb

Mom,

Your cottage is stunning, marvelous in fact. AND SO IS THE MERMAID THAT HAS BEEN SITTING NEXT TO YOU FOREVER!!!! :) Sorry, I just had to let you all know that my little mermaid that Mom has been promising for years is scuffled away in lieu of the more fabulous "stichers" peices. The RRs, the RAKs, the trades, the this the that.... she is delirious with joy and rapture! When I ask every so often how my mermaid is coming, she barely blinks and without missing a stitch she plainly says, "Oh, yes, honey, I will get to her, I just have to put a few more details in this neighborhood peice, isn't it darling?" AHHHHH. I used to be the only proud recipient of all of these treasures. Now I have to share my bounty with you...
It is only fair that you encourage her to FINISH the mermaid ASAP.
Thank you all. (grin)
It is with the greatest admiration and love that I send this message to you!

Her daughter,

Jessica

Well, Deb, as beautiful as Wendy's RR is, it looks like you have more beauty to finish and send off, lol! I've promised an apron to my oldest daughter for months now, and it's a project I just haven't done yet. Other projects and chores nagging at me louder, you know. :D

That is absolutely amazing! I love all the roses - that's my idea of the perfect country cottage! Sitting outside, smelling the roses, listening to the bees buzzing and the stream burbling, perfect!
