Little Finish & Freebie

In the distress of my horrendous pain in my neck, right shoulder, arm and fingers :{ I took to designing this week. Here's part of the DMC color palette. I was just in too much pain to find the rest of the colors in my stash so far. The chart, which is called "Stitching Girl with Dog" is seen partially in the upper right corner. I wanted to give it to you here as a freebie. Alas, I'm computer challenged, and I can't get it scanned and transported to my blog!! Rats! Though I haven't proofed it yet by stitching it, if any of you want a copy of the chart and instruction sheet, please just comment here or email me, and I'll send you one. It's a medallion, and I plan to design more of this little stitching girl.
Here is Karen's finished block for her Neighborhood RR. I added a strange little hedggie who climbed up to the roof and got stuck between the chimneys!! A big pink & raspberry bird...and some rain showers under a happy blue cloud. Thanks for all of your suggestions. Hope Karen likes her block! Now it's flying off to Bine's house where she'll add the last block before it all returns home to Karen!!
Must get off the computer and save my arm! Have happy weekends, everyone. Love and hugs to you all, Deb

Hi Deb. I am so sorry that you are still having such trouble with your neck, shoulder and arm. I guess all that pain is bringing out your designer instincts. I love the house and little hedgehog and other critters on Karen's house. It is gorgeous.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to write to let you know that Mom is really in awful shape. She continues to write cheerliy on this blog, which in a way lightens the severity of her condition. As her daughter, I will tell you, she is in constant, debilitating, excruciating, and tremendous pain. She is hardly able to move. These bulging disks have incapacitated her. I know that your well-wishes, your beautiful stitching, and your friendship give her a bright spot in these very tough days. Please know, that it is you and your craft that give her reason to get up. Thank you. If you would please keep her in your heart and your prayers. You all mean so much to her, and your words of encouragement mean so much. There is a possibility that she may have to have spinal/shoulder surgery to correct this problem. She is very anxious about this. Well, just wanted to let you know, how much this community, the projects that you work on together, the love of stitching, and you mean.

I'm so sorry to hear you've been in so much pain, and that it is quite serious - you are in my thoughts, chickadee {{hugs}}. If you are able to scan a copy of your chat and send it to me in an email, I am happy to chart it up for you on my XS software, and email back as a .jpg or .jpg for you to load up onto your blog. Just let me know if I can help out :) xx
