New Job Taking Time!

Jessica treated me to this movie "Elizabeth: The Golden Age," (I think it's called) at her house the other weekend. I was so entranced by Elizabeth's gowns and headdresses. I'm sure many of you have seen this movie. It made me think of the long poem written for her "The Fairy Queen," by Sir Edmund Spenser, which commemorated and criticised her Golden Age. What a sumptious movie!! You can find Spenser's poem in many forms...here's one from Amazon.

Jessica is on home/bedrest now for the rest of her time until Kellan comes. I can't go into details, but she has some fairly bothersome things going on, and the doctors are keeping her quiet and still for several of the weeks she has left. We are praying for at least 11 more weeks for Kellan and Jessica's health. She will have a casearian when the time comes.

I'm just slap-happy with my new job!! It's all a dream come true for me. The gallery is light-filled and beautiful with the Impressionist paintings in pastels and beautiful scenes of water and flowers....Paris, Lake Como, Nice, Portofino, Ville Franche, etc. I'm so happy to go to work every day! When our slow season comes, throughout the Summer, I will probably have time to slip a little stitching in! :]

Jessica wants to tell you all that now that she has so much time at home, she hopes you will be updating your blogs more often!! LOL Her email is jessicamagill@gmail.com She's on my case to blog everyday!!

I'm currently working on my Neighborhood RR and Fair & Square. Bit by bit...as I can. Pictures soon.

The weather is gorgeous here. Sunshine is like pure gold...bluest skies and happy flowers. It's perfect. Come on down!
Hugs, Deb

Glad you're enjoying the new job! Glad too to hear that Jessica is home again. She may like the idea of all the rest at the moment, but I'm sure it won't be long before it gets frustrating being so limited!

Sounds like the new job was made for you. It is a good thing that Jessica is resting and getting ready for the big day. Will keep her in my prayers.
The two Elizabeth movies were visually stunning weren't they.
Just went to see "The Other Boleyn Girl" today. - highly recommended. Check it out if you can

Hi Deb, I agree with Kathy A. It sounds as if this job was made just for you.
I haven't seen the movie yet but will put it on my list. Saw a photo in the newspaper yesterday of Cate and I don't think it will be long before she has her baby. She has been made a member of the Prime Ministers 1000 special advisers and they are wondering if she will make it to the first meeting.
I'm glad to hear that Jessica is resting and fine at the moment. I say get all the rest while you can.= take care = Sandra.

I've really been wanting to see Elizabeth - it sounds right up my alley. I loved the first one. Big hugs and prayers to Jessica! I am so glad you are loving your job - what fun. Wish I could be there with you to talk art all day!

I can just imagine you in the gallery all day, amidst such beauty. :) How glorious!

I'm sorry to hear Jessica is on bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy - not an easy or fun thing. When I was carrying the twins, I wasn't on bedrest, but did spend much of each day in my recliner with my feet up, reading voraciously. If only I'd had the internet back then! :D

Glad to hear that Jessica is hanging in there. It's definitely no fun being confined to bed like that. Hope the time passes quickly for her.
I'm so happy that you're enjoying your new job! Sounds like it's right up your alley.
I'm wishing I was back there with you already. Although it's sunny here now, it's not quite as warm and appealing.
