Fairies and Such

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments about your own bookgroups and experiences. It's great to know so many of you have enjoyed the same rewards we have. Margaret, I'm going to suggest the book you mentioned to our group for the Fall.

Our Summer book readings are: Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindburg, To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, and I Hate My Neck, by Nora Ephron.

About the fairies!! They are needlepoint canvases by a designer in CA. They are painted on an opalescent and colored canvas so the background doesn't have to be stitched. And they can be stitched with floss, silks or metallics, or Carons or Waterlilies!

I have them from my former needlecraft shop, "Cabbage Rose Needlework." They are $40 apiece at the wholesale price. If you want one, please email me. I only have one copy of each left.
This boy's name is "Liam." The top little fairy is "Dona," and the red-haired one is "Nissa." The ones in yesterday's blog are "Ariel," and, of course, that little trouble-maker, "Puck!"
Love and hugs to all of you!
Deb
PS: In deference to my dear friend, Julie, I've changed the horrendous original font color to something more legible. You were right, Jules!! :)) Everybody probably thanks you for curing their blindness!! LOL

Hi Deb -- such cute fairys! I think you need to stitch them up for those adorable grandchildren you have - both now and soon to be!

Can't wait to see you next week. It will be like old times. Just let us know what your plans are so we can make the appropriate plans to get together!

Hugs, Deb

I love the fairies. I do needlepoint also. I didn't know you owned a needlecraft shop, when was that?

Hiya Deb! I really like your fairies. They are darling. I appreiate your comments on my blog, but I'm not the Ruth in Fair and Square. Kinda funny though since Ruth is a rather rare name these days.

The Vierlanden I'm stitching is a mystery sampler by Martina Dey. the group can still be joined through the yahoo weihenburg samplers group. If you're interested I can send you the group address.

Thanks again for dropping by!

I've really enjoyed seeing your fairies too! You certainly do lovely work.
I loved "Gift From the Sea" and one of my sister in laws just mentioned that she enjoyed Nora Ephron's new book. You've made some great choices.
Thanks for dropping by!

These fairies are so sweet! And I've never seen them before, anywhere! Thanks for introducing me to them!
I also really liked reading about your book group. I used to read aaaaalllll the time, but ever since a certain little someone entered the world, I've hardly touched a book (except for the ones I translate, of course).

Goodness Deb, are you trying to make me blind or is it just me? Purple and orange = eye strain! :-)
Your fairies are so cute.

All the fairies look so gorgeous. You have a lot of finished pieces since the last time I visit your blog. Nice job. I've tagged you on my blog.

Your fairies are lovely and full of character! And your book group sounds wonderful - I wish I knew of a group like that, but it's not something I've ever experienced.

Thanks very much for the comments you've left on my blog - I really appreciate it. And you're so lucky to have known Genny Morrow!
